Tina Lee Ellis, 65, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away September 5, 2026, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana. She was born on May 12, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, to David and Pearlene (Towner) Montgomery.

She loved her family. She loved to sing and do karaoke; she loved to dance, and she loved watching movies.

Tina is survived by her five children, Stephen Montgomery, Tanjee Hill, Taylor Hill, James Hill, and Jovan Montgomery. Her mother, Pearlene Lee/Towner, older brother, David Montgomery, grandchildren: Savannah Montgomery, Kamron Montgomery, Kane Montgomery, Keyon Montgomery, Larell, Cannon, Camden, Lenny, Kaveryonia, Karleigh, De'Jay, Zandria, Dadaori, Raelynn, Zariah, Kara, Kendrick, Javarius, Bryanna,and Lillyanna. Great-grandson Kamari, Daughter-in-law Melissa Carter, aka "Big Coco Butt." Many, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Daughters-in-law Jenny and Emily, and son-in-law Felix.

She was preceded in death by: Her father, David Montgomery, little brother, David Montgomery II, aunt May, and Sam.

Tina accomplished a lot of things in her lifetime, but her greatest accomplishment was her children and her love for her mother, Pearlene. She graduated high school and finished some college
