Tonnie S.  (Johnston)Wilkerson, 60, passed away Friday July 1, 2022, at the Hancock Regional Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.  She was born on June 27, 1962 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Tommie Eugen and Betty Jean (Davis) Johnston-Inskeep.

Tonnie had graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1980 and later graduated from Lincoln Technical College with an Associate of Science Degree in Automotive Maintenance.  Ms. Wilkerson had become a Cashier for several years having worked for several retail department stores like Dollar Tree and Walmart.  She attended several of the Women's Ministry activities through the Windfall Christian Church in Windfall, Indiana.  Tonnie enjoyed playing bingo and watching television following shows like Grey's Anatomy, Gracie and Frankie and especially liked watching weight loss programs.

She is survived by two sons, Nathaniel Wilkerson, Elwood and Wayne Wilkerson, Peru; one sister, Sutton Krogstien (John), Windfall; one brother, Wayne Heath Johnston (Jeff), Ypsilanti, Michigan; several extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James Johnston; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Basil Davis.

Cremation is being done with a celebration of her life at a later date. Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
