Wendy S. Burris, 42, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at her residence following a sudden illness.  She was born on August 7, 1979 in Muncie the daughter of Dave Burris and Jacqueline (Rasar) Burris-Smith.

Wendy received her General Education Diploma and was studying to be a Pharmacy Tech when she became disabled.  She enjoyed adult coloring books, doing crossword puzzles and playing video games.

Survivors include her children, Brent "Cody" Burris (Aubrey), Muncie, Layla, Skye and Pyper Morris; her parents, Dave and Linda Burris, Muncie and Shane and Jacqueline Smith, Sr.; brother, David Burris (D.J.) (girlfriend- Ariel), Muncie; sister, Heather Burris (Boyfriend- Allen), Albany; step sisters, Jennifer Brown,  Amber Davidson (Scott), Anderson, Mandy Waters (Lamar) and Holly Mullinax (DeWayne), of Muncie; step brothers, Shane Smith , Jr. and Christopher Rogers, both of Muncie; grandchildren, Oliver Burris and Marceline Burris, both of Muncie; her companion, Donald Morris Jr. , Muncie; niece and nephew, Maddy and Jay Burris; Special cousin, Amber and a host of several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jay and Beverly Rasor; her paternal grandparents, Wesley Burris and Betty Whited; cousins, Jayme Burris and Tiffany McBride and several other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Doug Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M
