Willard Leroy "Bud" Williamson, 90, left this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Signature Health Care Center following an extended illness.  He was born on July 16, 1933, in Randolph County, Indiana the son of Guy and Ruth (Rowland) Williamson.

Willard graduated from Wayne Township School in 1951 and later married Regina (Noble) Thornburg Williamson on August 8, 1994 she survives.  Mr.  Williamson worked as a self-employed contractor for several years prior to his retirement.  He was known to be the General Contractor for the Middletown Apartments in the middle 1970s and he also had worked several years for the Champion Manufactured Homes Corp.  He had the distinction of creating a conveyor belt system that would afford these homes to be built more on an assembly line configuration.  Willard boating, fishing, painting with oils, camping, and hunting.  He organized the parking of the Good Sam's Camper Association Park in Lebanon for 4 years.  Mr. Williamson had attended the DeSoto United Methodist Church when he was able to.

Besides his wife of 29 years, Regina, he is survived by 2 Children, his son, Rick Williamson (Marsha), Ridgeville and Deb Nance (Kevin), Eau Claire, Wisconsin; 3 Bonus children, Mark Thornburg ( companion -Gina Bullock),  Leigh Ann Grider (Gary) and Chad Thornburg (Denise), all of Desoto; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill Williamson (Pauline) Portland,  and Richard Williams, Florida; 4 sisters, Beverly Cameron, Converse, Sharon Hiser (Keith), Union City, Karen Price (Phil), both of Union City and Phyllis Dickinson, Florida; 1 sister-in-law, Vicy Williamson, Joplin, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara and Clarene; 2 brothers, Charles and Alan; 2 brothers-in-law, Rod Cameron, and Galen "Bud" Dickinson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at the Union Desoto Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 11:30 until the time of service.
