Wilmer "Ralph" Sorrell, age 94 of Ft. Wayne and Formerly of Muncie, passed away Monday afternoon, June 13th,2022 at the Park Place Senior Living Facility in Ft. Wayne, In. He was born March 12th, 1928 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Claude E. and Goldie Mae (Whitt) Sorrell.

Wilmer was a U.S. Army Veteran and had served as a welder for Ft. Wayne Structural Steel

He is Survived by; four sons Garold F. (wife-Barbara) Ft. Wayne, In, Mark D. (wife-Paula) of Ft. Wayne, In, Timothy L.  of Albion, In., David W. (wife- Tammy) of Ft. Wayne; Two daughters, Belinda S. Ziko also of Ft. Wayne and Julie D. (husband-Bill) Runyon of Muncie; 13 Grandchildren, Several Great-Grand- children; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Timothy's wife Cheryl "Cheri" Sorrell, Five brothers and Two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18th,2022 11:00 AM at the Parson Mortuary in Muncie located 801 W. Adams Street. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 AM till service time. Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Cemetery.  Military honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
