Barbara Jean “Watson” Gregory went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Barbara was born to Exrod and Ella Watson in Indianapolis, IN., on November 5, 1944. She spent her childhood growing up in Indiana and Kentucky. On August 30, 1964, she married the love of her life, Cecil Ray Gregory, and was married until his passing in 2021. They were married for 57 years. They had 3 children together. Barb never met a stranger, was always up for going to a thrift store or rummage sale, and she enjoyed sitting on her porch with her neighbors, Freda and Joe. She enjoyed going to car shows and enjoyed all things Betty Boop. She looked forward daily to hearing from her granddaughter, Mindy Lynn, and nephew Shane, even if it was just to talk about the weather or episodes of soap operas. The last four years, she visited many cities and states with her son Timmy and his wife Mindy.

She loved being a doting mom to her daughter, Loretta, and her sons Jimmy (Debbie) Gregory and Timmy (Mindy) Gregory, but her favorite title was Grandma to her many Grandchildren: Mindy (Zach) Curtis, Johnathan (Kayla) Gregory, and Megan Gregory. Chris Wilson. Rachel Gregory, Jason Gregory, Bryant Thornburg, Amber Thornburg, Donnie Reed, Brooke. Also, her many great-grandchildren: Haylei Baker, Ashlee Baker, Zack Curtis Jr., Emiline Baker, Adeline Baker, Madeline Baker, Caden Harnish (Emily), Connor Harnish, Colin Harnish, Jasmine and Ava, Acacia Hiatt, Averix Hiatt, Kari Gregory, Ryn Gregory, and Valak Gregory. And her Great-Great Grandchildren: Ralph Christopher Mills, Baby girl due Jan. 2026. She had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Exrod and Ella Watson; husband Cecil Gregory, Sisters Shirley Logan, Margaret Cox, Imogene Kidd, Ada Barton, Christine Cash; Brothers, Rocky Lee Watson, Arty Davis, Woodrow Watson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Parson Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m., with Jody Michael officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
