Bessie Rose Brown, age 35, of Yorktown, Indiana, passed away on December 16, 2025, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bessie was born on June 18, 1990, in Helena, Montana. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished family member whose kindness and creativity touched everyone who knew her.

Bessie loved spending time with her family and friends, especially watching movies with her daughter, Airyana, often sneaking in a nap along the way. She enjoyed camping, knitting, and all things crafty. Whether she was drawing, coloring, or creating something by hand, Bessie found joy in expressing herself creatively. She was truly a bright light in the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Brown; her daughter, Airyana Brown; her siblings, Marlene Morrison, Laticia Alexander, and Christina Callahan; her mother, Marlene Van Natter; her grandmother, Beverly Hawk; and her mother- and father-in-law, Toni and Gary Conner. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, as well as her beloved cats, Sugar, Spice, Leo, and Squirley.

Bessie was preceded in death by her uncle, Monty.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her gentle spirit, creativity, and the love she shared so freely.

A celebration of life will be held at Muncie First Church of the Nazarene, 3101 N Benton Road, December 30, 2025. Visitation will be open from 2-5pm, service starting at 5pm.
