Funeral services for Betty “Sis” Sloan will be held Friday, June 4 2021, at 1:00 pm at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center 801 West Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor, Rusty Clements, interment will follow in the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Muncie Indiana, under the direction of Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, Muncie Indiana.
Visitation for friends will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Those left to cherish her memories include 2 daughters, Julie Skinner and husband, John, Samantha Callahan and husband John, one step daughter, Adena Green, 5 sisters, Margaret Mercer, Mary Jo Barton, and husband, Dannie, Barbara West and husband, Floyd, Hazel Plumley, Peggy Ward, 3 brothers, Gary Benedict, Marshall “Duke” McGuigan, Scott McGuigan, 5 grandchildren, Brittney Warrell, John Callahan, Courtney Ginder, Cody Skinner, Carli Skinner, 4 great grandchildren, Logan Warrell, Hunter Warrell, Blakely Skinner, Luxton Ginder, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Sloan, brother, “Bob Butchy” McGuigan, brother, Arthur McGuigan, brother, John McGuigan, brother, Mike Fears, one sister, Dorothy Devoe, father, John McGuigan, mother, Helen Martin McGuigan Fears, and other relatives and friends.
Betty “Sis” Sloan was born Monday, May 8, 1944 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 77 in Muncie, Indiana. Betty loved her family dearly, she loved to watch the Indianapolis Pacers play basketball, and watch I Love Lucy show, baking and making candy around the holidays she also enjoyed doing, grandchildren and great grandchildren she loved very much along with her family, family was very important to her, she also collected all kinds of frog figurines she will be deeply missed by all.
Pallbearers will be, Gary Benedict, Cody Skinner, John Callahan, Mike Fears, Marshall McGuigan, and John Skinner.
