Beverly J. Garrett Obituary

Beverly Jeanne Garrett, 89, of Muncie, Indiana, went home to the Lord on April 25, 2026, at Westminster Village in Muncie. She was born on June 26, 1936, in Marion, Indiana.

Beverly found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She loved traveling throughout Indiana and to places such as Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, and Arizona. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, including tent camping, hiking trails, and spending time outdoors. Music was always a part of her life, and she especially enjoyed listening to gospel, bluegrass, and country music with her beloved husband, Leon.

In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed sewing and creating with her hands. Above all, she treasured the life she shared with Leon—the love of her life—as they did everything together and built a lifetime of memories side by side.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Leon Garrett; her son, Michael Garrett (Jill); nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Daniel Massie, Judy Barnes, and Ronald Massie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Jeffrey Garrett and Robert Garrett; and her siblings, Arthur Biggs, James Massie, and Larry Massie.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Monday, May 4, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
