Billy Lee Adams

Reverend Billy Lee Adams, 94, went home to be with his Lord on June 20th. 2026.

Billy Lee Adams was born February 16th, 1932, in Muncie, Indiana, to Gail Roderick Adams and Ruby Delores McDaniel Adams.

He married Mardena Elaine Harmon on April 28th, 1950, in Daleville, Indiana. He was a Reserve Police officer for the Muncie Police Department, and was a District Manager, and retired from The Muncie Star and Press.  Billy and Mardena also owned and operated a country woods business for many years in Muncie and Metamora, Indiana.

Billy and his wife, Mardena, were Ministers with the Church of God Reformation Movement for over 58 years. They preached at churches around Indiana and Florida. They returned to Muncie, Indiana, in 1979 and shortly after started Pauline Avenue Church of God, where they preached together for many years.  Reverend Adams retired from preaching behind the pulpit in 2018. He continued to profess his Love for God until his passing.  He fought the Good Fight and Finished his race!

He was preceded in Death by his wife Mardena Elaine Harmon Adams in 2008, His daughter Mary Jo Adams Pollard in 2022, his second wife, Carolyn Jo Bybee Adams in 2022, his son in law, Roy Gene Nelson, his daughter in law, Lisa Jean Adams, his parents, Gail and Ruby Adams and his five Siblings, Gail Junior Adams, Bette Hornbaker, Norma Jean Riedel, Earl Allen Adams, and Paul James Adams.

Billy is survived by his children, daughter, Cindy Elaine Nelson, son, Billy Dean Adams, son-in-law, Harvie Pollard, daughter Aleesa Ann (Jerry) Mastin, son, Jody Mark Adams, daughter, Gina Tyler (Christopher) Richardson. His grandchildren. David (Stacy) Nelson, Derek Nelson, Abigail (Randy) Brownell, Emily Adams, Jason (Danika) Pollard, Marlee (Dustin) Delk, Jared (Christina) Mastin, Joshua Mastin, Maranda (Logan) Zimmerman, Amber (Jeff) Parker, Andrew Lee Richardson, Sean Tyler (Samantha) Richardson, Christopher Patrick (Emma) Richardson. His 26 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie.  Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the day of the service.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.
