Billy Joe Rigney, 76, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on December 14, 2024, at Waters Edge Village Muncie, Indiana. He was born on February 6, 1948, in Monticello, Kentucky to Eugene and Jessie (Doss) Rigney.

Billy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for landscaping and planting flowers, always taking great pride in his yard. Billy was deeply involved in his church, Newlife Baptist, where he not only attended but also contributed by caring for the church's maintenance. He was known for his infectious sense of humor, always knowing how to make everyone laugh. 

Billy is survived by his wife of 56 years Connie Rigney; children; Bobby Rigney, and Cathy Young (Billy); grandchildren,  Amber Kiger (Ryan), Tyler Rigney (Rachel), and Brooke Young; great-grandchildren,  Alexis Kiger, Ryan Kiger, Jordan Kiger, Lyric Traylor, Brixton Rigney, Jersi Rigney; siblings, Phyllis Denney (Dan), Forrest Rigney (Linda), Debbie Bell, Ronnie Rigney (Sherri), along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Gene Rigney. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery. 
 

Billy's family and friends will remember him for his dedication to his loved ones; his generous spirit, and the laughter he shared with all who knew him.
