Bonnie Lue Swingley, 89, passed away on October 10, 2025, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital.  Bonnie was born the daughter of Marshal and Viola (Reed) Ferris in Cuba, Missouri, on January 31, 1936.

Following her graduation from Cuba High School, Bonnie graduated from Beauty College.  She was a hair stylist for 52 years, serving her customers from her home and at New Attitudes Hair Salon, both in Selma, Indiana.  Bonnie raised seven children and went on to be blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and fishing.  She loved hosting big events for her family.  What brought her the most joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was always there for them, providing a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen. Bonnie is survived by her children, Theresa (Mike), Eric (Kathy), Tina (Randy), Tara (Joe), one stepson, Pete (Connie), and grandchildren, Ryan, India, Kindra (Jeremy), Jericka (Sean), April, Chelsie, McKensie, Erika (Daniel), Joe, Joston (Kori), Katelyn (Nick), Tierra (Justin), Karina (Sean), Angel, and Issac, and great-grandchildren, Riley, Brandt, Jereck, Makenna, Theo, Maelyn, Gradie, Hunter, Noah, Emma, Emerie, Kyngston, Isla, Josian, Jeremiah, Jerico, Delilah, Natayla, Zuri, Kelly, Sean, Kalani, Laniya, Traevon, and Kylen, and siblings, Glenda Howard, and Phil Ferris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, parents, Marshal and Viola, sons, Larry and Gary, and her siblings, Sylvia, Melba, Martha, Howard, Leroy, Doug, and Bob.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM.  Pastor Dan Kauffman will officiate.
