Brett Wayne Charlton, born on October 12, 1984, passed away on May 13, 2025. He was a kind, funny, and gentle soul who deeply loved his family, animals, and the simple joys of life.

He is survived by his loving mother, Nara Manor (Ron), and father, Jeffery Charlton (Deborah); his grandfather, Forrest Charlton, and grandmother, Lucille Manor; his brothers, Robbie Manor (Gina) and Chris Manor (April); and his stepbrothers, Shawn Lenfestey, Chris Lenfestey, Korey Flinn, and Phil Flinn.

Brett is also survived by his aunts, Tammy Sandoe and Coleen Spoonmore (Steve); cousins, Tessa, Scott, Tommy and Scotty Sandoe, Angie Betten, Nathan and David Charlton, Abby and Gabe Warrick; nephews, Leo and Cooper Manor; and nieces, Tess and Sylvie Manor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joelene and Bennie Barton, Evelyn Charlton, and Gerald Manor, uncle Henry Sandoe.

Brett graduated from Wapahani High School and earned an associate degree from Ivy Tech University. A lover of knowledge and self-discipline, he had a deep interest in martial arts, especially Kung Fu and Taekwondo. He enjoyed watching The Simpsons, listening to music, meditating, and savoring good coffee. Animals brought him great joy, especially his beloved yellow tabby cat, Sky, whom he rescued and nurtured from the time she was just eight days old.

Christmas was Brett's favorite time of year—not for the presents, but for the warmth and joy it brought, especially when his mom and Aunt Cindy would bake Christmas cookies, which he loved. He was a member of Old Town Hill Baptist Church, where he found comfort in the sermons and fellowship.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Bruce Reynolds officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.
