Brian Eugene Long, Sr., passed away peacefully during a nap in his Muncie residence on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, after a brief but aggressive illness.

Brian is survived by his son, Brian (Carrie) Long, Jr.; two daughters, Brittany Long and Barbara Long; sisters LeEtta Brewer; Lynn (Kip) Jackman; and nieces Andrea (Brian) Freeman, Deana (Greg) Lash, and Chelsea Jackman; two grandchildren; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and one aunt LeAnna (Lyle) Hood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry "Dutch" and Rev. Sharon Lee "Irish" Long; one grandson; brother Kelley Long; paternal and maternal grandparents; one aunt, Mary Etta Zartman; and brother-in-friend Jeff Hunt. For a man who loved his Savior so much, there was no better place to begin the new year than in the welcoming arms of Yeshua.

A veteran of the United States Army and the United States Army National Guard, he will be interred with military honors at Marion National Cemetery.

Services will be on Monday, January 12, 2026. Parson Mortuary and Funeral Home, visitation 10:30 am to 11:30 am, Service 11:30 am to 12 pm, Marion National Cemetery , Interment promptly at 1:00 pm
