Bruce "Cowboy" Thomas

Bruce “Cowboy” Thomas passed away peacefully Thursday January 6, 2022 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital with family at his side. Bruce was born in Muncie Indiana on Friday July 7, 1933 to Thadora (Alberson) and Eugene Thomas. He married Judith (Houston) Thomas in 1966 and she survives. Bruce had been employed in the construction field as a driver to several companies in the area. Bruce attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren cared for his family so much that if his car didn’t start, he would walk to work for miles to make sure they were cared for.

Surviving Bruce are his loving wife of 56 years Judi; sons Bruce A. (Paula) Thomas, Steven R. Thomas, Sean D. (Regina) Thomas, Brent A. Thomas, daughters Annette M. (David Bernard) Thomas,  Jennifer J. Thomas, Rebecca (Beth) Thomas, Amanda (Chad) Champion; one brother Harry (Kay) Thomas, one sister, Lois Arnold, 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bruce’s parents, seven siblings, and Grandson Nikalas S. Roach preceded him in passing.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center on January 14, 2022 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Richard Bird officiating. Friends may call from 4:30 pm until the start of the service.
