Caleb Ryan Tackett, 31, of Muncie Indiana went home on December 16, 2024. He was born March 4, 1993, to Harold and Deanna (Baker) Tackett.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was a son, a brother, and an uncle.
Caleb graduated high school from Waynesboro, MS., Upon graduation, he served as a proud firefighter alongside his father on Engine Company Rescue 61 in Waynesboro, known for his quick wit and humor, and when he loved, he loved with all his heart. His talent for playing guitar, and building guitars and computers was second to none. In the course of 31 years, he touched the hearts of everyone around him, including those at the Muncie Wastewater Treatment Plant where he worked. He was a gun enthusiast and lover of the outdoors, a music lover and founding member of the band Eternal Perdition, and a die-hard fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the show Supernatural, Indiana Jones, and James Bond.
Caleb is survived by his father Harold Jr. (Kimberle) Tackett, mother Deanna, brothers Jeremiah (Nicole), and Jacob, his adopted brother Elijah, sisters, Autumn (Mick), Kaitlyn, Shelby, Courtney, and his fiancé Candice whom he loved deeply, along with nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
