Cameron Paul Dodson of Pendleton, Indiana passed on Sunday, December 19 following a tragic and very unexpected accident. Cameron was born on July 28, 1988 in Memphis, TN but he spent his childhood in Syracuse, NY before moving with his family to Hackettstown, NJ and later Greenfield, Indiana. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School.

Cameron had a smile that could light up a room and was known for his gentle spirit and extremely loving heart. He had an engaging personality and made friends of all ages very quickly and easily. He was loved and adored by those who knew him well. Although Cameron would say that he maintained only a small, close circle of friends, the many who have responded to his tragic passing indicate that he truly left his mark on this world.

Cameron showed an interest in racing at a young age--something that made us all nervous, but he quickly proved that he had a talent beyond anyone's imagination. It was always amazing to see that quiet and reserved young man turn into a force when his competitive spirit kicked in on the track; there was nothing more exciting than watching Cameron behind the wheel of a Silver Crown car. 

Coping with a traumatic brain injury changed Cameron’s course in life but he journeyed on and found great pleasure in the outdoors, keeping fit, and his love of animals. Cameron had an affinity with animals and was never happier than when he was spending time with his beloved dogs who were his constant companions one of which Cameron rescued.

His family is proud of Cameron and the obstacles he overcame in his life. He was a friend to everyone that crossed paths with him and when he loved you, you felt it. He would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone that needed it. He was extremely genuine in his words and actions.

Cameron is survived by his wife Marissa Dodson of Indianapolis Indiana, parents, Thomas and Cindy Dodson of Pendleton, Indiana, and a brother Tad Dodson (Curtis Hanson) of Lake Tahoe, CA; aunts and uncles Vickie (Wayne) Kibble of Hixson, TN and Johanna Augusta; Rhonda (Bill) Causey of McDonough, GA and Matthew Crae.
We love you forever, Cameron. You will live on in all of our hearts.

Cremation is taking place with a private gathering of friends and family at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
