Candice "Candi" Jean (Smith) Buss Obituary

Candice Jean Buss, 76 left this life late Sunday evening, September 15, 2024, at the Signature Health Care Center following an extended illness.  She was born on July 1, 1948 in Muncie, the daughter of J.B. Smith and Francis (Weaver) Smith- Jett.


Candice attended Muncie Community Schools and later worked for the MCL Cafeteria as a server for thirty years retiring in approximately 2010.  She enjoyed follow the Harry Potter story.  Ms. Buss treasured the times she could be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren the most. 


Survivors include one daughter, Holly Alford (companion-Dane), Muncie; one son, Jamey Walburn (Julie), Grayson, Kentucky area; five grandchildren, Cory Walburn, Muncie, Krystal Burton (Andre’), Selma, Jessica Lewis (Brandon), Grayson, Kentucky, Jordon Walburn (Destiny), Louisville, Kentucky, and Bryan Walburn (fiancé’-Joy), Okeechobee, Florida; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Perry Brown (Bobbie), Tremont, Mississippi and Gerald Jett (Shelly), Muncie.


She was preceded in death by her parents; two brother, Rick Brown and Skip Smith.


Cremation has been chosen with a private family gathering at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
