Carlos Edward Hancock

Funeral services for Carlos Edward Hancock will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center 801 West Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana. Officiating will be Joey Prewitt with burial following in the Elizabethtown Cemetery, Wheeling Indiana.  Visitation for friends will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish his memories include, daughters Edith Holt (husband Charles), Linda Howard, Ruby Shaffer, and Connie Stone,(Jim) .  In addition he had 11 grandchildren, Ladonna, Larry, Talia, Amy, Heather, Jeremy, Shawn, Jennifer, Joshua, Matthew, and Holly, 29 great grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, Megan, Kacey, Anthony, Jodie, Johnny, Cain, Jessie, David, Devin, Aidan, Sydney, Zane, Brandon, Kelsie, Daisha, Joshua, Reese, Cash, Trenton, Chelsea, Leah, Trevor, Gracie, Haiden, Haleigh, Kaiden, and Zachary, and 22 great- great- grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linnie Dishman Hancock, his second wife, Oma Bertram Hancock, daughters Betty Jean Hancock, Karen Sue Hancock and Wanda Waters, father, Cole Carter, mother, Dora Hancock Gentry, and brother, Earl Hancock.

Carlos Edward Hancock was born on Tuesday, September 17, 1930 and went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Muncie Indiana with his family by his side. Carlos loved his family dearly and his friends and would do anything that would help someone. Carlos loved playing guitar, singing music with his family and friends.  Music was his passion and he played several instruments. He loved going to church when he was able and worship was important to him.  He had an affinity for animals, including dogs and horses, especially his beloved dogs BiBi and Rambo.  They were spoiled and were constantly by his side. Carlos never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Johnson, Jeremy Stone, Joshua Stone, Zane Stone, Aaron Kidd, Charlie Holt, Joshua Molina and David Johnson.
