Mrs. Carole Diane McGlaughlin, age 88 of Muncie, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center. Carole was born in New Castle, Indiana, on April 11, 1937.

She was the daughter of Ralph S. and Winifred "Larsen" Peckham. At the age of eight, her family moved to Muncie. She graduated from Muncie Central High School and Muncie Business College and attended Ball State University. Also, at the age of eight, her neighbor, Mrs. Helen Moore, taught Carole how to crochet. She became a master in the art. Carole could effortlessly crochet while talking or watching television, never missing a stitch. Over the years, she made countless Afghan blankets and dolls for family and friends. She also made hats for cancer patients. 

Carole attended Westside United Baptist Church. While attending there, she affirmed her commitment to Jesus Christ by being water baptized by Pastor Larry Waters in 2007. She also attended Glad Tidings Church, and the Senior Care Team visited her frequently. 

Carole is survived by her three children: Lana Monroe, of Lancaster, California, Vicki Love, and Calvin McGlaughlin (Allyson), both of Muncie, Indiana. She is also survived by her brother Alfred "Pete" Peckham (Diane), of Muncie, Indiana. Carole leaves behind her grandchildren; Brandi Riggins (Brad), Roby Johnson Jr. (Leslie), Connor Auten, Kristen McGlaughlin, Jessica McGlaughlin, Joseph (Tiffany) Monroe, Shawn (Christy) Monroe, great grandchildren; Taylor Edwards (Brandon), Alyssa McComas (Sam), Noah Riggins, Cassie Griffith (Kevin), Bradley Riggins (Caitie), Michael Riggins (Ziara), Mary Sanders, and Braelyn Riggins, Quinton Johnson, Marcella Johnson, and Joel Hatfield, Megan, Joseph, Anthony, Ryan and Celina great-great grandchildren; Laikyn, Lucah, Brielle, Jace, Ryan, Zailor, Emerson, Avalyn and Lincoln along with several nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her husband of twenty-three years, Clarence Marshall McGlaughlin, whom she married on August 12, 1955. In addition, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren McGlaughlin, her parents, and her siblings: Kay Attwell (Joe), Cheryl Buck (Bob), and Ralph "Butch" Peckham (Carol Faye). 

Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
