Charles "Chuck" G. Hite Jr. Obituary

Charles Gerald Hite, 63, of Hartford City, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. Born on May 23, 1962, in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the son of Charles Hite Sr. and Peggy Hite.


Charles was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, whether it was watching movies at home, enjoying nature, or sharing special moments with his children. He especially cherished trips to Holiday World with Lindsey and Chad, memories that will be treasured by his family forever.


He had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles and was known for his strong work ethic, dedicating 30 years of service to 3M. Charles also enjoyed bowling and was proud of his skill in the sport. Earlier in life, he was a natural at water skiing, and he attended Glad Tidings and carried those values with him throughout the years.


Charles is survived by his loving children, Lindsey Hite and Chad Hite; his mother, Peggy Hite; his brothers, Larry Hite and Chris (Tina) Hite; his brother-in-law Brian Flowers; and several nieces and nephews, including Daniel Flowers, Sydney Hite, Tyler Hite, Haleigh Hite, Caden Hite, and Andrew Groves.


He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hite Sr.; his sister, Rebecca Flowers; and his nephew, Ryan Flowers.


Funeral Services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
