Claudine Eberle, 88, of Muncie, Indiana, peacefully passed away on March 18, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 25, 1937, in Crawford, Tennessee, to Thurman and Bonnie (Winningham) Sheppard.

Claudine’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She had a natural gift for making her house a warm and welcoming home, dedicating herself to interior decorating and tending to her yard with love and care. A passionate bowler, Claudine also found great enjoyment in the sport.

She is survived by her children: Phyllis Layne (Wendell), Teresa Sherwood, Doris Buck (Allen) of Muncie, and Rick Mullins (Cheryl) of Losantville; her grandchildren: Derrick, Jason, Shawn, Joshua, Brandon, and Stranton; and great-grandchildren: Kateri Sherwood, Delilah Sherwood, Haven and Stranton Jr. Mullins, and Bentley and Aubrey Buck. She is also survived by her siblings: Shirley Kerley, Carlene Warner, Hensel Lee Sheppard, Glenda Warner.

Claudine was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Lonnie Mullins, Charles Ricketts, and Don Eberle; her grandson, Wendell Jr.; her siblings: Geraldine Hargis, Bonnie Jean Hawn, Junior Sheppard; and her cherished dog, Ellie.

A funeral service to honor Claudine’s life will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, with Ronnie Smith officiating.
