Funeral services celebrating the life of Curtis Harold Hammond Jr., will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, 801 West Adams Street Muncie, Indiana. Officiating will be Bro. Chad Fessenden. Under the direction of Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center Muncie Indiana.
Visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Those left to cherish his memories include, the love of his life of 16 years Jonica Phillips Hammond, daughter, Amy Alberson husband Joe, daughter, Anette Walters, husband Tom, son Aaron Hammond, wife Jennifer, step daughter, Katie Ely husband Michael, step son Kirk McDougle wife Ericka, sister Debbie Hammond special friend Larry Perkins, 15 grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Harold Hammond Sr., mother, Ruby Knight Hammond, and one son, Andrew Hammond.
Curtis Harold Hammond Jr., was born on Saturday, March 13, 1954 and passed away from this life on Monday, June 28, 2021 in Muncie, Indiana at the age of 67. Curtis was a 1972 graduate of Wapahani High School in Selma, Indiana. After graduation, he went on to become a chemical engineer for many different corporations. He also served the TSA and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department for several years. He was a member of the Whitney Masonic Lodge 229 in New Burlington, Indiana, the NRA and the Farmland Conservation Club. Curtis loved his family very dearly and spending time with them was important to him. Deer hunting and fishing were his favorite things to do. Being in the woods or on the river were peaceful and he could enjoy watching nature and enjoying the quietness. He enjoyed traveling with his wife across the country, going to the Indianapolis 500 race every year along with many NASCAR races too! Curtis always wanted to have fun and just enjoy life. He will be deeply missed by all.
