Darwin Stover Obituary

Darwin Stover, 87, entered into his eternal home on September 4th, 2025, after a brief illness.

Darwin was born on June 14, 1938, in Fayette County, West Virginia. He was a graduate of Kingston High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Cold War Berlin Crisis, where he competed in the United States Army Shooting Team and received many medals for his incredible skill. He retired from Muncie Reclamation & Supply Company after many years of dedication. He attended Old Town Hill Baptist Church.

Darwin was known for his sweet spirit, patience, and soft-spoken nature. He always had a sweet smile he shared so freely. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, whom he was very proud of. His greatest joy in life was being with those he loved the most. Guided always by faith, devoted to his family, and grateful for the blessings of freedom, he leaves behind a lasting legacy that will guide his family for generations to come.

A graveside memorial will be held for family and close friends on Thursday, September 11, at 1:00 pm at Beech Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, 1400 West Kilgore Ave., Muncie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Town Hill Baptist Church (3000 S Burlington Dr, Muncie, IN 47302) in Darwin’s honor.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of the healthcare providers in the Intensive Care Unit at IU Methodist Hospital.
