David “Dave” Allen Campbell, 74, left this life Saturday morning following a sudden illness at the Hoosier Park Casino.  He was born on November 19, 1949, in Muncie, the son of Donald Arthur and Jennie Jo (Bailey) Campbell.

Dave graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1967 and later enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served in Korea during the Vietnam War Era.  He married the love of his life Toni (Morris)Campbell on July 26, 1968.  Mr. Campbell served as a municipal mechanic for the City of Muncie for 26 years before retiring for the second time.  He enjoyed fishing and was known to be an outstanding woodworker making cabinets, tables, lamps, etc.  Mostly Dave treasured family times with his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 56 years, Toni, he is also survived by three sons, Darik Campbell, Indianapolis, Jeremy Campbell (Jessica Snow), Jonesboro and Kyle Lee Campbell (Varonica), Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one sister, Ginger Gibbs, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald “Duke” Campbell, Jr. and Jim Alan Campbell.

Cremation has been chosen with a private family gathering at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
