Obituary

David Allen Van Norman, 57, passed away early Monday morning, November 7, 2022, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born on October 27, 1965, in Muncie the son of Sharon Louise (Kennedy) Van Norman.

David graduated from Muncie Southside High school in 1983 and later graduated from a trade school.  He eventually would drive a truck for several firms in the area the most recent one being Irving Materials (IMI) for 15 years.  Mr. Van Norman was known to be a very kind man with a big heart toward animals, he was a member of the Teamsters Union, was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed target shooting, and enjoyed being outside, cooking, watching scary movies, and hanging out with his dog Jake.  When cooking, his specialty was his triple chocolate cake

 He leaves behind a daughter, Tiffany Burks (Mark); two granddaughters, Tayana and A’mya; a special friend Carol Williams; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Chelsea and Katelyn; his dog Jake; a multitude of friends who loved him dearly.

Besides his mother, Sharon, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick and Rick, and, one sister Sheila

A gathering of friends and family will take place at Parson Mortuary on Saturday, November 12, 2022.  Cremation is to follow.  

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
