Deborah Lynn (Tabor) Cook

Deborah Lynn Cook, 69, passed away January 3, 2021, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on August 31, 1951 in New Castle, the daughter of George and Ellen (Cline) Tabor.

Deborah graduated from Southside High School in 1969 and later worked for Warner Gear doing various jobs eventually becoming a Line Supervisor.  Upon the closing of that plant, she was able to find work at Anchor Hocking in Winchester as an Inspector.    She was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 287 where she was very active on the Women’s Committee.   She had also been active in the Boy Scouts of America as a Den Mother and had attended True Light Baptist Church when she was able.  Mrs. Cook loved to all things horse related, doing crafts, baking and sewing.

Survivors include one son, Jamie Cook (Kimberly), Muncie; grandchildren, Dallas Cook and Adrionna Brown, both of Muncie; Several siblings; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband, James Cook in 2007.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating.  Burial of cremated remains will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery on a later date.   Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service. Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
