Denzil Eugene Koger, 77, of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2025, at his residence in Muncie. He was born on March 19, 1948, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Herbert and Evelyn (Vaughn) Koger.
Denzil retired from the Delaware County Highway Department after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He was known for his love of rummaging, his passion for buying and selling tools, and above all, the deep love he had for his grandchildren. He was a devoted member of the Riverview United Baptist Church family.
He is survived by his children, Dianna Koger-Billings and David Koger (Shelli); grandchildren, Taylor, Tawni, Trevor, Trenton, Tylee, Gunnar, Lily, and Lucy; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Justice, and Dovelyn; siblings, Wendell, Roger, Ronald, and Faye; and several nieces and nephews.
Denzil was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Doris Boyatt Koger; his parents; brothers, Kelly and Earnest Koger; and his son-in-law, Tony Billings.
Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., with Ryan Goodin and Dewayne Loveless officiating. Burial to follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.
