Diana Lee (Jessie) Staker

Diana Lee Staker, 62, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 16, 2021, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on March 29, 1958 in Muncie, the daughter of Marion and Ruth A. (Forehand) Jessie.

Diana is graduated from Muncie Community Schools and later married the love of her life, Ralph T. Staker on December 24, 1982 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2017.  Mrs. Staker had worked for Butterfield foods for thirty years as a Supervisor and later for Life Touch Photography for eleven years in the production dept. prior to her retirement.  She enjoyed bowling and reading.   

She is survived by one daughter, Kim Rhoades (Aaron), and one son Nathan Staker, both of Muncie; five grandchildren, Austin Gunckel, Cortney Gunckel, Koby Gunckel, Ashley Rhoades and Matthew Rhoades; two great grandchildren, Nyleigh Sandridge and Joziah Gunckel; one sister, Peggy Bodnar (Shaun McGuire); one brother, Steve Jessie; several nieces and nephews, Angie, Tisha, Becky, Daniel (Ofelia), Melissa (Travis), Bobby (Amy).

Besides her husband of 35 years, Ralph, she is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Vicky Pipher; one brother, Bobby Jessie and one uncle, Fred Forehand.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Beech Grove Cemetery.  Pastor Bruce Reynolds will be officiating.  Parson Mortuary is entrusted with these arrangements.
