Dona L. "Harlow" (Wilson) Dudley

Muncie-Dona L. “Harlow” Dudley, 93, passed away Thursday morning, December 15, 2011, at the Liberty Village Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born on March 25, 1918 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of Moses and Lucy (Dickeson) Wilson.
          She attended Olive Hill City Schools. Dona married James Leslie Harlow in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1951. She then married Gerald Dudley on June 15, 1964 in Wise Virginia and he survives.  Mrs. Dudley had worked as a press operator for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Noblesville for seventeen years prior to her retirement in 1978.    She also worked off and on for Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit for 10 years prior to her retirement in 1980. Mrs. Dudley attended the Brown Road Church of Christ in New Castle. Dona enjoyed cooking big meals for large groups. It was said of her” she liked to feed an army and if you didn’t eat she would be insulted.” She was a wonderful mother.
          Besides her husband of 47yrs., Gerald, she is survived by two sons, Alford Harlow, New Castle and Alvin Harlow (wife-Rebecca), Ridgeville; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Salyer, Soldier, Kentucky.
          She is preceded in death by her first husband, parents, two sons, Albert and Howard William Harlow and 13 siblings.
          Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Sharon Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
          Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Monday, December 19, 2011, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
