Doyle Lynn Ransom Obituary

Doyle Lynn Ransom, 69, passed from this life late Monday evening, April 8, 2024, at his residence following a brief illness.  He was born in Muncie the son of Denver and Rosemary (Adams) Ransom on October 11, 1954.  He attended Muncie Community Schools and later enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corps where he honorably served as a Corporal in a Mobile Proof Artillery Unit.  He eventually transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve.  Mr. Ransom had worked for the Fairfield Inn for 22 years before his retirement in 2019 as a Custodian in the Housekeeping Dept.  Doyle enjoyed cooking.


He is survived by his son, Scott Ransom (Melissa), Tucson, Arizona; one sister, Kimberly Loveless, Portland; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.


Cremation has been chosen.  Full Military Honors will be rendered at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana on Friday,  May 17, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center was entrusted with the cremation portion
