Nina Edna Dearinger Mullinax
92, passed away February 2, 2021 at Westminster Village with her children by her side. Edna or Ed as her family and friends fondly called her lived a long and productive life where she was able to remain active until a recent setback with her health.
Edna was born in Fentress Co, Jamestown TN. The daughter of John and Rachel Buck. She graduated High School from York Institute and promptly left Tennessee and moved to Muncie Indiana where she met and married Bill Dearinger and had four children-
Cheryl Harder (Doug) Carol Paul (Steve) Bill Dearinger (Susie) and Scott Dearinger. All her children survive her.
After the death of her first husband she married Clifford Mullinax who preceded her in death and is survived by a stepdaughter Barbara Oakley of Tullahoma TN.
Living in Muncie for over 70 years Edna who was a homemaker and known to be quite a seamstress was active in many organizations such as Eastern Star, WIBC Bowling league, 55 Alive, Friday night singles at Gethsemane Church, Women of the Moose #712, and the Lady Eagles Auxiliary #231.
She loved playing cards and especially enjoyed her 4C’s Canasta club, bridge club, playing hand and foot as well as euchre with her friends at Westminster and playing poker with her kids and grandkids.

grandchildren: Courtney Posada,Charles Paul (Amber), Seth Paul (Jennifer Grove), Shelly Gebs (Michael), Eric Dearinger (Morgan), Brody Dearinger (Shania Bordner) ,Bella Dearinger, Susie Cobb(Mark), Linda Krehlik (Brian)
Edna was blessed with 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as lifelong close friends that she cherished. She was preceded in death by a twin brother Edgar Buck and other brothers Gordon, Henry, and WA Buck plus one sister Alma Stephens.
No formal services are being held at this time. A celebration of life this summer will be announced by the family at a later date. The family Requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
