Edna Mae Owen, 95, passed away on August 9, 2024, at her Muncie residence surrounded by her loving family.  Edna was born on June 12, 1929, in Bryson, North Carolina, the daughter of Albert and Lilly Dorsey.

Edna worked several years for Ball Glass producing lids for jars.  She spent her later years enjoying adult coloring books, rummage sales and loved baking cakes and pies.  Edna was known as a collector of many things, or as family said, anything.  She was a hardworking, independent woman and was the keeper of the family stories, often talking about her younger years in North Carolina.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Owen, Edna Mae Owen, and Tonya Owen, two granddaughters, Christian Davis (Terry), and Jessica Conner, and grandsons, Jimmy Owen (Maria) and Robbie Owen (Trish).  In addition, she leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Heaven White, Cortez White, Prince Duncan, Jimmy Owen Jr, Mercedes Owen, Bradley Owen, Aaliyiah Aviah-Gyebi, Jessica Rector, Kyle Rector, and Whitley Rector, as well as several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lilly, her husband of nearly sixty years, Arthur Owen, daughter, Linda Conner, grandchild, Kameron Badders, and brother, Bobby Dorsey.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM the day of the service.  Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie.  Reverend Terry Davis will officiate.
