Ernest T. Garrett, 84, passed away on December 12, 2023, at the Woodlands Health Care in Muncie, Indiana.  Ernest was born March 26, 1938, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Joe D. and Ethel Garrett.

After graduating high school, Ernest worked for Ball Brothers and later the Indiana Department of Transportation, as a snowplow driver.  He married the love of his life, Imogene Criswell, and had three children.

He was a proud father and grandfather, who loved his family with all of his heart.  He enjoyed classic country music and classic cars.  Ernest was a member of the Delaware Masonic Lodge #46 of Muncie, Indiana

He is survived by his son Ernie Gene Garrett, daughters Kathy Woody (Jerry) and Joyce Glasco (Mark).  In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Caleb, Haley, Jason, Lance, Trevor Garrett, Tiffany Corbin, Jennifer, and Jessica Fueston, as well as many great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Imogene, three sisters, and grandchildren Erika Garrett, George Alan, and Ricky Del Fueston, and one great-grandson and great-granddaughter.

Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 PM.  Friends may call from 12:00 PM until 1245 PM.  The Delaware Masonic Lodge #46 will perform a memorial service at 12:45 PM and the funeral service will start immediately following.  Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery.  Pastor Rusty Clements will officiate.
