Floye Loretta (Wright) Ferrell passed away in her sleep on August 3, 2024. Floye was born May 4, 1932, in Mount Pisgah, Kentucky, the daughter of Cordell and Lola (Wright) Wright. Her parents and all siblings are deceased.

Floye married Paul Ferrell August 20, 1948. The couple has three daughters: Rita (aka Paulette) Kopec, Susan (aka Diann) Ferrell, and Anita Kay (husband Manuel) Castro. Rita has two daughters: Angela (husband Doug) Campbell, and Annette (aka Cissy (deceased) (husband Jerry) Huskey; Diann has two sons: Richard (wife Heather) and Michael (wife Ednamay) Brandenburg; and Anita has two sons and one daughter: James (wife Lesley), Danny, and Malissa Holland. Great grandchildren are Chase (Alexcis) Campbell, Reece (Sierra) Campbell, Chelsey Wilson; Abbie,
Natalie, Noah, and Zachary Brandenburg, Alexis (husband Loren) Coon, Annamaria Holland, Brandon and Megan Richards, and Jessica Welter. Great-great grandchildren: Aerie Campbell, Ryleigh Coon, Carter and Madyson Richards, D.J. Shelton, Kaiden, Kaleb, Khylee, and Kailey Welter, Thomas, Daniel, Benjamin, and Elias Wilson.

The funeral will be at True Light Baptist Church, 805 N. Country Club Rd., Muncie, IN 47303, on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Calling hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements through Parson’s Mortuary.
