Frank “Pop” Rule, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Indiana University Health Ball Memoria; Hospital.
Frank was born in Miami, Florida on April, 1946 to Bill and Helen Rule, he graduated from Southside High School class of 1964. Frank retired with over 30 years at Delco Battery in Muncie. He also owned Frank’s Bowling Pro Shop for several years.
He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Vicki on September 4, 1965. They were very happily married for 56 years. Frank’s passion was his family. He loved getting out in the yard playing with his great-grandsons and loved beating his family in euchre. He was an avid bowler since he was 16 years old when he worked at Tower Lanes and was later inducted into the Muncie Bowlers Hall of Fame. He enjoyed going to car shows with his ’23 T-buckett and then his ’34 Chevy Coop which he has won numerous awards. He enjoyed watching Nascar and NHRA drag racing with his son-in-law Marcus and grandson Ryan. He was a proud card-carrying member of the Good Guys Street Rod Association. Frank enjoyed playing golf and watching his great-grandsons play sports.
Preceding him in death were his lovely wife Vicki Rule and his parents Bill and Helen Rule.
Surviving Frank is his daughter and pal Melissa (Marcus) Lacy, grandson Ryan (No-Na) Lacy, granddaughter Kayli Lacy, and two great-grandsons Karson Lacy and Jaidyn McKee, along with many lifetime friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Ellis officiating. Friends may call Parson Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
