George Harley Obituary

George Harley, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Born to DeVern and Ethel Harley on September 4, 1931.

George graduated from Royerton High School in 1949. He was a jack-of-all-trades, he enjoyed working with his hands, building, painting, and gardening, and he could fix anything you put in his hands. He was intelligent as can be, just about had the answers to everything, and he loved being around his family. George also enjoyed sports, like football, and IU basketball.

George is survived by his wife of 73 years Marilyn Harley, children; Susan Wilson (Jack), Kathy Selvey (David Segraves), Robert Harley (Janie), and Bruce Harley (Kelly), sister-in-law Carolyn Gill, along with five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association located at 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
