Iris Eileen Short/Shell entered eternal rest on July 7th at the age of 94. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Iris’s master plan for happiness in life was accomplished in the creation of a large, beautiful Catholic family. She taught multiple generations the value of gathering together for moments of joy and rallying in times of pain. Generations of grandchildren had a rare gift of knowing their aunties, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her two husband’s John Short and William Shell, two daughters, Sandra Schuchman and Jill Hodson, and son-in-law Barry Schuchman.
Survivors include Cindy (Rick) Clark, Muncie, Indiana, Roger Hodson, Parker City, Indiana, Tim (Denise) Short, Camby, Indiana, Doug (Cindy) Short, Muncie, Indiana, and Jeff Short, Eaton, Indiana. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren
Honoring Iris’s wishes, there will be no service. There will be a family celebration of life.
