JAMES WEAVER

James Arthur Weaver, age 37, of Muncie, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2020.

Funeral service celebrating the life of James Arthur Weaver of Muncie, IN will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Destiny Christian Center International, 5000 East Centennial Ave. Muncie, Indiana.  Officiating will be Bro. Joe Prewitt and Pastor Nathan Brosher.  Interment will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery Muncie, Indiana.  Under the direction of Parson Mortuary and Crematory Center. 

Family will receive friends for visitation, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Destiny Christian Center International. Family will also receive friends from 9:00 am until service time Wednesday, November 18, 2020. 

James was born on November 4, 1983 to Gary Weaver (wife Donna) and (Deffie) Kay Lawson (husband Paul) in New Castle, Indiana.  He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Elisha Weaver.  Along with his wife, daughters, Sarah Weaver, Hailey Hagaman, and Kareli Hagaman, were his world. 

James is survived by twin sisters, Melissa Hargis (husband Chris), and Melinda Gilpin (husband Matthew), niece Kaydyn Hargis, nephews Jase Hargis and Ethan Gilpin.  His grandparents Estell Ray and Esther Ferrell.  He also had a special little brother Garrett Higgins, several aunts, uncles, cousins, stepsisters and extended family members that loved him dearly. 

His hobbies include spoiling his wife and girls, telling corny dad jokes, and playing video games with Super Mario Bros. and Zelda being his favorites.  Spending time with his family was always the priority of his life.  He was always there to give a hug and always said ‘’ I love you’’ when leaving.  Above all, James loved to showed the light of Jesus Christ, God’s light showed through him to everyone he came in contact with.

James graduated in 2002 at New Castle High School.  He worked at Grede Foundaries in New Castle, IN from 2003 -2016 and was currently employed at Nestle since 2016.  Along with that he was a previous pastor at Abundant Life Church in New Castle and a youth pastor at Life Point Church of Muncie. He was currently attending Destiny Christian Center International Muncie. 

He is proceeded in death of his paternal grandparents James and (Wanda) June Weaver, and maternal grandmother Nellie Ferrell. 

Pallbearers will be Chris Hargis, Matt Gilpin, Garrett Higgins, Isaiah Brosher, Garrett Prewitt,  Derrick Braswell, Steve Burchett, and Mark Bauman.
