Jack Logan Poore

Jack Logan Poore, 75 passed away October 14, 2023, at the Bethel Point Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.  He was born on February 8, 1948, in Monticello, Kentucky the son of Jack Poore and Margie Marie (Upchurch) Poore-Martin.

Mr. Poore attended Monticello Community Schools and later worked for Beldon Wire and Cable Inc. as a Pack Operator for approximately 9 years.  He enjoyed fishing years ago and also participated in demolition derbys when he was able to.

Survivors include one son, Bryant “Cody” Poore (Melanie), Richmond, Kentucky; four sisters, Connie Elmore, Portland, Linda Thompson, Monticello, Kentucky, Debbie Poore, Muncie, and Junelle Brocki (David) Eaton; three brothers, Billy J. Poore (Barbara) Parker City, Rickey W. Sexton, Muncie and Mike Martin (Shelia), Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Anthony Poore and Tyler Poore; four great-grandchildren, Janson, Jazlan, Jordan and Bella Poore; several nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Sherrie Bennett.

He was preceded in death by three children; Jackie Poore, Jr., Bobbie Poore, and Troy Poore; his parents; two sisters; Patsy Dobbs and Betty Duvall; and one brother, Danny Poore.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Brother, Rickey W. Sexton officiating.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery
