James Bubba Beaty, 52, of Muncie IN, passed away at his residence on September 1, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on January 10, 1972, the son of James G. and Debra (Barlett) Beaty.
James loved umpiring and refereeing sports events in junior leagues and high school, along with men’s and women’s slow-pitch softball. He was the life of the party, he really knew how to light up a room and fill it with laughter. He graduated from Muncie Central in 1990 and was awarded several Hall of Fame awards in softball from umpiring and NSA.
Bubba is survived by his children, Brianna Maxwell (Jeremy), Braelyn Beaty (James Lloyd), Jameson Beaty (Emily Neal), the mother of his children Angie Beaty (Tony Dennis), and special little buddy Kase Dixon.
He is preceded in death by, his parents James and Debra, Grandma and Grandpa Ernie and Freda Barlett, and Uncle Ernie Bartlett.
