James “Jim” Edward Lenox Sr., of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2025, surrounded by family, having gone to be with our Lord and Savior and his beloved wife of forty years, Roberta Christina “Cris” (Mayfield) Lenox.
Born to Robert and Lola (Hickey) Lenox in Muncie, Indiana, Jim was preceded in death by his wife Cris; his parents; and his brother, Robert “Chic” Lenox. He is survived by his brother, Clifford “Cliff” Lenox; his son, James Lenox Jr., and daughter‑in‑law, Samantha; his daughter, Heather Warren, and son‑in‑law, Brett; thirteen grandchildren—Jessica, Alexandria, Anthony, Stephen, Jaci, Shaylea, Abby, Taylor, Amber, Cole, Riley, Gabrielle, and Bekha—and six great‑grandchildren, Mia, Alania, Amias, Heather, Isabelle, and James.
Jim, honorably and proudly served in the United States Army. Jim received several accommodations, including a purple heart.
Jim retired after a long career with General Motors. He delighted in the quiet company of his own thoughts, and he shared his love of hunting and fishing with family and friends. Known for his generous spirit, Jim was always ready to lend a hand—whether to a neighbor or a stranger.
