Janet Lucy (Marsh) Jennings

Janet Lucy (Marsh) Jennings, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Muncie, Indiana. She was born on April 29, 1936, to the late Edward and Edith (Swaim) Marsh.

 In 1952, she married the love of her life, John Frank Jennings. Janet was a devoted homemaker whose greatest pride was her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her daughter, Brenda Thomas, her son-in-law, Daniel Thomas, and her son-in-law, Marvin Bennett.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Marsh, and her sister, Rita (Marsh) Birch; her daughter, Sherri Bennett, and a son, David (Patty) Upchurch.  In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Marbaugh, Michelle (Mike) Bradbury, John Bennett, Joshua Upchurch, Jason Upchurch, and Jacey Upchurch, and nine great-grandchildren.

Our Mother/Grandmother, who was a constant presence in our lives, will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 12:30 PM, at Parson Mortuary, 801. W. Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, 1400 W. Kilgore, Muncie.

Pastor Randy Yaryan will officiate.
