Janice Kay Pfleeger (Findley) of Gaston passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Jan was born on December 21, 1939, to Ralph and Kay Findley. She was a proud graduate of Muncie Central High School, Class of 1957.

In her early years, Jan worked as a beautician, running a small business out of her home where she built lasting friendships alongside her clientele. She later devoted many years to
supporting Pfleeger’s Pumps and Water Softeners, the family business she owned and operated with her husband, Ed. Even in “retirement,” Jan remained active, working in the
kitchen at Wes-Del schools.

If there was one place that felt most like home beyond her front door, it was Dale Hollow Lake. Summers spent at Wolf River were among her most treasured times, where days
spent on the water with family and friends created memories that would last a lifetime. It was there that Jan and Ed found their greatest joy—surrounded by people they cherished forever.

Jan is survived by her four children: Terry Gillespie (Ray), Edward Pfleeger Jr. (Leda), Michael Pfleeger (Nicole), and Melanie Stroup (Rich); seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-eight
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ray Findley (Vicky), and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Pfleeger Sr., and her parents, Ralph and Kay Findley.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary in Muncie on Monday, April 20th, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with services performed by Jayden Pfleeger. Friends may call at the mortuary prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Jan will be remembered for her steady presence and her hardworking spirit. Whether at home, at work, or by the lake, she built a life centered on family, connection, and love— leaving behind a legacy that will continue to live on in every gathering, every story shared, and every moment spent at the water.
