Jeffery William Vannatta, 54, passed way on December 26, 2024, at Henry County Community Health Hospital, following a brief illness. Jeff was born June 18, 1970, in Killeen, Texas, the son of William and Beverly Vannatta.
Jeff graduated from Muncie Southside High School and joined the National Guard. He later transitioned to the United States Army where he proudly served his country for close to ten years. While in the service, he was a helicopter mechanic, working on Apache helicopters. Following his service, he became a truck driver and was employed by Dots Foods, and most recently with G&G Oil.
Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was described as a
“great cook,” and was credited by family as “making the best brisket ever!”
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of twenty-one years, Terri Vannatta, daughter, Keisha Swanson, grand-daughter, Gracie, mother, Bev Kelley, brother, Gary Vannatta (Mary), sister, Jamie Haag (Adam), niece and nephew Rebecka and Travis Vannatta, and one great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Watson Vannatta, and his grandparents, Virginia and Chris Graft.
Per his wishes, Jeff will be cremated and there will be no formal services at this time.
