Jeffrey Ray Bookout, loving husband of Rhonda Bookout for 39 years and cherished father to Brandi and Katie passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2025 at the age of 59. He was born September 26, 1965.

Jeff leaves behind a legacy of hard work and a love for the outdoors. Jeff served on the fire department in his younger years as a Gaston Volunteer Fireman. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in his concrete business.

Throughout his entire life he loved spending his time outdoors. He was an avid hunter whose trophies are hung on every wall of his home. His greatest pleasure was sharing his stories with his grandchildren. 

Jeff is survived by his wife of 39 years Rhonda Bookout, his children Brandi and Katie (husband Kyle), his mother-in-law Sheila King, brothers Jim (wife Lucy), Tim, Mike (wife Mary), his grandchildren Kyla, Dylan, Olivia (Kayla), Kaden, Kindal, and Brinley, Chosen family Courtney (Jacob), Karen, Ben, and Arthur. Special nieces Candice, Monica, and Hayli as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition, Jeff had a great-grandson on the way.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Bettie and Marvin Bookout, father-in-law Darrell King, sister-in-law Christy Bookout.

A celebration of life will be held at a future time.
