With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of Jerry Miller Sr., 85, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of God, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jerry pastored at Muncie First Free Will Baptist Church for 35 years.  Jerry lived a life anchored in faith, guided by love, and marked by humility.  He was a man who didn’t just speak about God, he lived it.  Through every joy and trial, Jerry’s unwavering trust in the Lord was a testimony to all who knew him.  His life was a quiet sermon, preached not only from a pulpit, but through kindness, integrity, and daily acts of service.  Jerry touched countless lives with the love of Jesus.

He leaves behind a legacy of faith, humility, and love.  Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate the life he lived and the eternal home he has now entered.  His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by Bernice, his beloved wife of 63 years; his children, Jerry, Anthony, Melissa, and Jessica, and their spouses; and his grandchildren, Landon, Caleb, Hannah, Grace, Megan, Heidi, and Kyle, and their spouses, along with many great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly and prayed for daily.

A service celebrating Jerry’s life and faith will be held at Muncie Free Will Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 20, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the service.  Family and friends may also gather during calling hours on Monday, May 19 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
