Joe D. Gray

: Joe Gray passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Joe was born to Debbie Hardwick and Dwight Gray on Tuesday November 29, 1977 in Muncie Indiana. He attended school at Monroe Central graduating in 1997. He married the love of his life April Winstead on October 4,1997 and she survives. Joe enjoyed collecting knives and tattoos, kayaking, hiking, and shooting ranges. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Joe had way of putting people at ease, never meeting a stranger and always the first to offer aid in time of need. He could make people laugh even when they didn’t want to.

Joe is survived by his wife of 24 years April, daughter Emma Jo Gray; parents Debbie Hardwick and Dwight Gray; sister Julie Gray, brother Larry Gray and his children Luke and Shaylan; sister-in-law Donna (Dave) Trittipo and daughter Briana Garrett; grandparents Ken (Sandra) Dixon; close friends Mike and Allison Cary and their children Kaitlynn and Rheanne. Joe has many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who will miss him also.

Joe’s maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents preceded him in passing.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Jim Ballenger officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at Parson.
