John Richard Brees

Funeral services for John Richard Brees will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 12:00 noon, at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, 801 West Adams Street Muncie, Indiana. Officiating will be Bro. Lee Crossland. Interment will follow in the Marion National Cemetery, 1700 East 38th Street Marion, Indiana, under the direction of Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Our hero John R Brees age 69, Vietnam veteran died early Wednesday morning from many complications of agent orange. 
 

Son of Robert Wayne Brees and Antonia Rolgan Brees, both deceased. Was an army veteran and worked in many manufacturing plants including 18 yrs at Dynamerica.
 

He enjoyed bowling,fishing,old cars,painting cars, and playing his many guitars,but most important spending time with his wife,kids,grandkids,and brother..family meant everything.
 

He is survived by his wife of 40 yrs Karen Sheward Brees,2 daughters Courtney Fisher husband Leroy, Shivaughn Sheward fiancé Justin Sallee, 2 sons Joshua Wheeler wife Alana, and Joshua Hazlewood,grandchildren Trevor,Isaiah,Devonnie,Lillianna ,
Tegan, Tayton, and Aubrielle, brother Robert.  and many, many family friends that called him papaw.
 

Preceded in death by brothers Peter, and Jerry Brees,and 1 grandson Tate.
