John Ray Chambers, 66, passed away on March 22, 2025, at his Muncie, Indiana residence following a sudden illness.  John was born in Muncie on March 13, 1959, the son of John and Cora Chambers.

John graduated from Muncie Central and following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army.  He proudly served his country for over twenty years, including the Desert Storm campaign, where he was a combat medic.  John was employed by Suburban Propane Partners as a service technician. 

John was a true jack of all trades, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Known for his generous spirit and kind heart, he would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. His passion for life was reflected in his love for gun shows, shooting, sports, and classic cars. However, nothing brought him greater joy than his family, especially the cherished moments spent with his grandchildren. John’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Chambers, sons, Dennis Trosper (DeJai), Chad Trosper, and Christopher Trosper, daughters, Lisa Chambers, and Xena Chambers, and grandchildren, Keaton, Dennis, Corbin, Hailey, Dominik, Diamond, Amy, Marie, and one great granddaughter Xenia “Nia”. 

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Cora & siblings Debbie, Chuck & Randy.

Services will be Friday, April 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
